Kenrokuen Garden

Kenrokuen garden is classified as one of the three most beautiful gardens in Japan, located in the central Kanazawa, next to Kanazawa castle. Kenrokuen can be translated as "garden of six elements" which incorporates six features of an excellent landscape garden stated in Chinese poem : Spaciousness, Seclusion, Artiflice, Antiquity, Use of water and Panoramas. Only few minutes away on foot from our hotel, enjoy free admission before sunrise.


Kanazawa castle park

Kanazawa castle sits in the center of Kanazawa city. This castle was resided by Maeda family for almost three centuries. Over the centuries the castle burnt down repeatedly and was never rebuilt unitl 1990s when the project of reconstruction has finally started. There is no entrance fee for the Kanazawa castle park itself.


21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa

A city of arts, the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary is a must-see place in Kanazawa where it exhibits interesting artworks of contemporary artists from all over the world. The museum has 4 entrances allowing visitors to easily enter and exit and uses transparent glass walls, designed to make room look open and spacious.


Higashi Chayagai (Eastern Chaya district)

Higashi Chaya district was established as an entertainment district for wealthy merchants where geisha have been entertaining people by performing dances and playing traditional music. This traditional place has been preserved and now converted into restaurants, cafe or souvenir shops for visitors.


The Nagamachi Samurai District

Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Traditional Arts and Crafts

This museum is located adjacent to the Kenrokuen Garden and exhibits 36 types of national and regional traditional crafts of Ishikawa prefecture, including Kutani Porcelain, Kanazawa gold leaf and KagaYuzen.


Omicho Market

Omicho Market is known as Kanazawa's largest food market where most shops specialize in fresh local seafood. Many shops sell light meal such as fresh oysters, sea urchin and fish skewers that you can eat as you walk around. It is highly recommended to visit in the morning or lunchtime for most of the stores close around 4:30p.m.


Kanazawa Yasue Gold Leaf Museum

Kanazawa is the largest producer of gold leaf in Japan. This museum exhibits the history of gold leaf in Kanazawa, including the process of gold leaf production and the historic and modern examples of the craft works made using gold leaf.


Myoryuji Temple

10 min by bus

Myoryuji Temple is commonly known as Ninja temple, because of its hidden rooms, trap doors and secret passageways. This temple has actually no connection with the ninjas, but it was built to protect the lord during military preparation. Reservation is required for admission. The guided tour is given in Japanese; however, English guidebook is available onsite.


Kanazawa Yuwaku Edomura

An open-air museum in Yuwaku Onsen is dedicated to preserve historic samurai residences built in the Edo period. Once you step into this historic houses, it will give you an idea of the lifestyle, customs and traditions of samurai and merchants in the Edo period.


Izumi Kyoka Kinenkan Museum

Experience an unique literary world of Izumi Kyoka in the museum where it exhibits his masterpieces, installation of his famous works and his imagination. He was an auther of Japanese novels and short stories from Kanazawa who gained popularity during Taisho and Showa era.


Muro Saisei Kinenkan Museum
